Dogs Rescued by The Belmopan Humane Society

Here are some of the lucky dogs to have been rescued by the Belmopan Humane Society. Much of the money we fundraise goes into the rescue and care of these guys - we always spay or neuter the dogs we help, and their food and medical bills can really mount up. It sometimes seems like a never-ending battle trying to help all the dogs in Belmopan, but once you see what lovely pets they turn into, it makes it all worthwhile. Occasionally at BHS we have the sad duty of euthanising an animal, when it is just too ill or injured to recover. It breaks our hearts every time, sometimes we don't even have time to find them a name, but we know we did our best for them and just hope that they are in a happier place now..
